A fax server for ISDN30
The fax server for
ISDN30 is a breakthrough in various respects since it is
connected to the ISDN30 line outside the telephone system.
The device shares a number of channels with the telephone
system and operates with its own telephone numbers. One of
the benefits of this is that no separate infrastructure is
required, such as analogue ports on the telephone system or
separate fax lines, which also saves installation and
configuration costs and work. No longer is it a problem to
assign specific fax numbers from the many telephone numbers
in the ISDN30 bundle.
Each fax number is connected to the
mailbox of an employee or department who then have their own
direct fax number. As the fax server can handle up to 16
channels, there is sufficient capacity for almost any
business. This capacity is assigned dynamically: if no faxes
are being sent or received, the channels are released for
voice traffic.
